Thanks to this masterfully drama drama with elements of crime story and love story, once again on the screen met a celebrity duet (and a couple in private) - Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
Cruz plays the role of Laura, a woman who left for Argentina years ago and today returns to her native Spanish town for her sister's wedding. Bardem plays Paco, her former lover, now a respected vintner. In "Everyone Knowing" a pair that once combined feelings, this time will combine tragedy: during the stormy wedding night disappears the teenage daughter of Laura, Irene. From that moment, embedded in a charming town surrounded by vineyards, the film winner of two Oscars (for "Rozstanie" and "Client") completely changes the mood. The idyllic façade bursts violently, and from behind it emerge family secrets, envy, passions and diligently hidden conflicts. The past haunts the intricately woven tale like an evil spirit; while destroying the peace of the whole town. Another mystery is coming out, of which "everyone knows", but nobody wants to stop the conspiracy of silence.
Farhadi leads the story with its characteristic ease and lightness. The family is a territory where it moves with skill, flawlessly catching paradoxes, thanks to which this vortex of toxic emotions, conflicting interests and lofty feelings acts like a perfectly oiled machine. The intimate and bubbling "Everyone knows" proves that Farhadi is unparalleled in his narrative of relationships and relationships.
